The little pump house that couldn’t!

Early construction of the pump house addition

We quickly discovered that the water is so hard here, we desperately need a water softener and the well system plumbing and electrical installation was really not optimal.  Of course one thing leads to another and our little four foot by four foot pump house was not nearly large enough to house a proper size pressure tank, water softener and associated electrical controls for the pump.  A new pump house was called for and John and Jane answered the challenge by adding on an eight by eight foot addition on to the diminutive existing building.  John (and Jane) quickly felt their ages after a few days of hard labor but the result is not too bad – click here for pictures of the construction genesis. We still need to finish caulking and painting, but that should be completed next week.
